It all started when...

I stepped into the theater room at Wood Cross High School in Woods Cross, UT. I knew there was something special about this room. There was something magical about it. I didn't know then, but I would spend most of my time there for the next three years.

My theater teacher was Janet Cook, a petite little firecracker of a lady. It was clear that she LOVED theater, LOVED teaching, and LOVED to develop talent in teenagers. If you've ever known a dedicated high school theater teacher, you know that they sacrifice so much for their programs, literally working hundreds of un-contracted hours to ensure that the productions are top notch and that their students are audience ready.

I spent the next three years discovering my love for musical theater and acting. I couldn't get enough. I even took a number of online independent study courses so I could take more theater classes.

I did every musical, every play, and every drama competition. Since High School I've been performing nonstop. I've toured with the national and international Broadway tours of Aida, I've been in many regional productions (playing Jean Valjean in HCT's recent production of Les Miserables), and I've acted in many films. I've also co-founded the tenor trio group GENTRI, which has toured all over the world and has reached #1 on multiple Billboard Charts.

But you know where it all started? High School Theater. And for that, I will forever be grateful. High school theater and my theater teacher gave me so much. The dozens of volunteers who assisted with productions, gave so much. And now this concert is a way for me to give back. Theater matters. Especially high school theater. Thank you for your support!
